The South Carolina Maritime Museum is offering a new summer sailing camp that will provide students, ages 9-15, with a great introduction to sailing.  The 2013 beginner class is for students who have little or no experience on the water.  The sessions will take place in the mornings and afternoons with 6 campers per session.

The course includes the basics of rigging a boat, sailing fundamentals, basic boat handling, seamanship (knots, weather, etc.), water safety and sportsmanship.  Instructors will use games to incorporate team work and challenges to build confidence and excitement about the sport of sailing.  Spaces are limited so you need to reserve your spot today.  Call (843) 520-0111 or go to their website at www.scmaritimemuseum.org  for all the details and to complete the SC Youth Sailing Program Summer Camp Registration Form.
